SanDisk 8GB MicroSDHC Showing Only 3.6GB Memory Space ?
My younger brother brought a brand new SanDisk 8GB microSDHC card for my Blackberry Peril 8100 mobile phone. When I put the card into the phone recognized and show 7.6GB memory card. We both snapped hundredths images on his birthday. When we both connected the card to PC, the card showed only 3.6GB card. And almost images were gone. What’s wrong with us and help me to find out all the missing images. Thanks!
It sounds like the “Card Reader” problem. It may be possible about the card reader you are using to connect, may be compatible only up to 4GB card only. So you should try 8GB Card Reader. As well as, it may also possible that either the card has been corrupt or damaged or your Card reader is not compatible or may be bad sectors issues. . Here I will suggest you to reformat the card using “HP Disk Storage Format” tool. It is the best program to format the microSDHC.
But you also want to obtain those missing images. To recover those snaps only one option remains as “ Photo Recovery ”. For Scandisk microSDHC Card recovery , various advanced and powerful picture recovery and digital picture photo recovery tools are available. Digital Picture Recovery tool is one of them. This has been acclaimed as the best picture recovery tool. This way, you will easily recover your missing snaps.
While, the reformat of SanDisk 8GB MicroSDHC card will fix the issue about showing only 3.6GB card instead of 8GB card. To reformat the card, follow the steps:
- Insert the Card into Card Reader and connect to PC directly
- When, the PC or laptop recognize the Card, now select and right click to choose “Format” option.
- Simply click on “Format” to start, but choose “NTFS” or “FAT32”.
On the ending of the “Format” your card will show the full memory space.
