Hi everyone, I have Olympus MUJ 300 digital camera. On a birthday party I shooted too many photos. And when I tried to download those pictures from camera to my laptop, photos would not download. Again, I put my 1GB XD card into camera and try to view pictures got “Card Error” message. It is too horrible for me, but I put the card again my neighbor Fujifilm FinePix Z1 camera, get the same result. Can somebody help me to fix this error? I am really serious about those pictures which are stored on the card.

XD Card is a popular digital media storage developed by Olympus , Fujifilm and Toshiba. The card is in small size compared to others while their storage capacities range from 16 MB to 8 GB. Memory cards have popular for a long time while XD cards I being superior. It is because its versatility of digital memory card. It is mainly designed to protect unauthorized distribution of data. XD card is used for storing video, audio and text file and data.

As you have mentioned your problem relating to your XD card, it may due to many causes, like:-

•  Read-Write Protection

•  Card was not formatted before use

•  Unnecessary format the card

•  Accidental file deletion or partition

•  Remove the card while camera is ON

•  Virus hit

•  Damaged or corrupt XD card

•  Poor insertion and removal the card

•  Low power when you captured photos and many.

In all cases, your card may go inaccessible and all stored images and videos corrupt or inaccessible too. You have already told about your XD card is also not accessible in another camera. So it is card issue not camera. Here you don\'t\' need to examine your camera. In the above situation, if you have backup file then you can wipe your card in order to make accessible. But if you have no backup or backup file has only partial data, on that case you should go for Card Repair.

Repair action can help you make accessible your XD card while all images will be untouched. Unfortunately, if the repair step also failure to fix the issue then you need for third party application i.e. Digital Photo Recovery software. Step 5 : Now, the Digital Card Recovery software will display all recoverable images. Here you can select only necessary photos and files or complete recovery. (Note: you can also set the destination where files and photos will save otherwise it will save in Default folder in ‘MY Document\').

At the end of the above steps, your memorable images will be on your system. You can now restore in your camera once again!

Step 3: After scanning , it show the preview of recovered files.
